Tiger Blue is built in the style of a traditional wooden phinisi. With ironwood hull and teak decks she was completed in June 2008. Tiger Blue was built by Haji Abdullah and his team on a beach at Bira, South Sulawesi. The Wilkinson and Foster Families had specific needs to be filled and children were a big factor in the design of Tiger Blue. Wouter had a huge input into the technical design and was constantly on site. David went to Bira very regularly to ensure the design and spaces were what the families wanted. Rebecca contributed to the interiors and design elements of Tiger Blue. All parties required the boat to be very comfortable, practical and well equipped for adventure. We all also took into consideration that we needed to be able to view our children when they were wandering about the boat and we needed all the extra paraphernalia that would keep them happy in all weathers.

Tiger Blue is 34m long with a deck width of 7.5m. Accommodation is made up of two double kingsize bed cabins, a family cabin with one kingsize and 2 single beds, and a double bunk room with 2 single beds. All cabins have en suite bathrooms, hot water and are fully air conditioned. Dressing tables with mirrors, wardrobes and shelves are all part of the furniture in the cabins. Tiger Blue ideally accommodates 10 people or a family group of up to 14. Think king size beds, cosy duvets, stand up straight, escape from the heat, hot showers and comfort! This is what our cabins are about!

Large deck spaces offer plenty of places to lounge and relax. Daybeds on the deck and the upper deck allow for on deck sleeping for everyone. The dining table on deck is the central outdoor space for hanging out on Tiger Blue. Main deck is well shaded with our stretched Sunbrella sun shades. The air conditioned salon offers multi- media equipment for extra entertainment and can provide extra beds when needed. The top deck offers a private tanning area and great sunset watching with cocktails! Sunrises are also best on top deck and everyone can have a go at steering the wheel up here.

On main deck we also have our fully equipped navigation room and library. It is also here that we have all the facilities for charging various equipment.

Our fully equipped kitchen is set up for our chef and his assistant and they provide wonderful meals all day. Dive equipment is stored under the seats in the salon and are air compressors are top deck. Our wonderful dive platform allows plenty of space for equipment, washing gear, outdoor showers and fishing, as well as a great platform to enter the sea for swimming.

On long sails our 2 tenders are craned onto top deck for safety and efficiency during sailing. It is also up here that our 2 ten men lifeboats are stored ready for emergencies. Life jackets are all stored in the cabins.

Cabins are serviced and cleaned everyday. Laundry service is available on a daily basis. Our service crew work work very hard at keeping all our guests happy through out their time on Tiger Blue.

Tiger Blue sails in some of the richest seas on the planet so diving is just spectacular!

Each region offers a different seascape to dive into, and even within very small areas, eg. Komodo, there is very different reefs and diving conditions to experience. Dolphins are part of the scenery in Komodo and there is now a pod that loves to play around divers. Banda offers unbelieveably clear water, wonderful wall dives and sharp drop offs covered in an abundance of life and colour. Larger sea life such as whales, dolphins and hammerheads offer hits of adrenaline! In Alor the currents are cold but heaving with sea life. Schools of tuna, sailfish and barracuda are common. All along these Eastern Indonesian Islands divers will be amazed by the wealth of the sea and the clarity of the water. The more remote the more spectacular the encounters.

Tiger Blue is well equipped for divers. She has 2 compressors, 20 tanks and BCD's and regulators are also available. For non- divers we offer snorkeling equipment. For photographers we have charging facilities and the salon's 42" flatscreen is a great way to view your work. Tiger Blue has 2 tenders, one 10 man and one 5 man.
